Military education: how to compare programmes

Start with the educational objective. What matters is the content of the programme and the admission terms, not the name of the institution.

1

Start with the educational objective

Establish what education you already have and what qualification you want to obtain. The official section of the Ministry of Defence sets out different levels of military education. They should be compared not only by the name of the institution but by the content of the programme and the requirements placed on an entrant.

Consider military-technical training separately. It is not another name for higher military education.

2

What to compare across several programmes

Write down the name of the institution and the programme, the level of education, the admission terms, the selection stages and the method of submission. Then check the deadlines of the specific campaign you plan to take part in.

Before submitting, establish what document graduates receive, what obligations are tied to the studies and how the further professional path is organised. Do not transfer guarantees from the description of one programme to another.

3

How to read admission announcements

The year in the title matters. Clarify the acceptance of applications, the review of documents, the tests and the announcement of results separately – where these stages are provided for by the rules of the programme.

A publication about the 2026 campaign does not confirm admission in 2027. If the stated deadline has passed, find a new official announcement or clarify the information with the admissions commission. The presence of an old page on a website does not mean that admission is continuing.

Military-technical training

Military-technical training: eligibility, queue processing, admission location and published cost are separate questions. A price inquiry alone does not establish eligibility, permission to apply or whether places are available.

Before submitting documents

Compare the address of the official service with the name of the receiving organisation. Check whether all mandatory fields and attachments are ready, and keep the confirmation if the service issues one after submission.

Do not send certificates, medical conclusions and other personal documents to the QAZ.ARMY editorial team: no admission of candidates takes place here.

6

What is important to keep in mind

Admission depends on the institution, the programme and the specific campaign. The terms of a past campaign cannot be applied automatically to the next one.
